Buy 1, Gift 10%
Another important part of our mission is giving back! Not only do we want to empower individuals from all walks of life, but we also want to help the masses from all walks of life. So we wanted to be as helpful as possible so we started to research and figure out. How can we help as many people as we can, as God intended us to do so?
We’ll God answered, our prayers! We decided to create the “Buy 1, Gift 10%” Action plan. Here’s how it works. Every month we’ll be releasing a unique collection of apparel and accessories. And well every month we will help a new charity we found that needs our help. We’ll donate 10% of all profits for that month to the charity. So you can confidently know that when you buy from us you’re helping change the world and build god’s kingdom, one buy at a time.
This Month's Charity
LunchBox Fund Mission
We uphold a child’s right to an education. No child should be kept from learning by hunger or household food insecurity.
The Lunchbox Fund helps vulnerable and food-insecure children in South Africa get the education they desperately need to build a life free of poverty.
We provide a nutritious daily school meal to children who would otherwise go hungry. This meal encourages children to attend school and enables them to concentrate and learn while they are there. Children are supported at all stages of their education – from pre-school, to primary and secondary school and after-school programs.
The Crisis in Early Childhood Development
The first five years of a child’s life are critical for their physical, social, emotional and cognitive development. The ‘essential package’ of integrated ECD services in South African policy covers the five pillars of: Social Services, Maternal and Child Health Interventions, Support for Primary Care Givers, Stimulation for Early Learning, and Nutrition Support. The Lunchbox Fund seeks to address two of these five pillars – Nutrition Support and Stimulation for Early Learning – through spearheading nutrition provision in ECDC and playgroups offering quality educare across the country.
Investing resources to support and promote optimal child development from a young age yields compound dividends into adulthood, and contributes to a country’s truly sustainable development.
Last Month’s Charity – May 2021
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
In memory of Azaylia Diamond Cain we have chosen St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – Only about 500 children are found to have AML in the U.S. each year. (It is much more common in adults.) However, it is the most common second cancer among children treated for other cancers.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.
- The hospital’s leukemia studies have pioneered the way the world treats childhood leukemia.
- St. Jude pioneered outpatient clinical trials for children with leukemia, reducing the need for inpatient stays.
- St. Jude scientists are using new forms of treatment to improve the outcome of AML. Current clinical trials include:
- Treatment based on the specific subtype of AML and on the response to therapy: intensive use of chemo plus stem cell transplant
- Checking for minimal residual disease by flow-cytometric and molecular techniques
- Clofarabine, sorafenib and other new drugs for the treatment of AML
- Natural killer cell transplantation
- Using new methods to look for genetic defects in AML
